Howdy from the Prairie!  I’m Katie LaBree, a WordPress loving, married to a cowboy (hence the howdy) turned pastor, freelance web designer who is slowly, but surely starting her own business, Nash Creative Co.

For the past 17 years, I’ve been in ministry either full time or part.  I’ve been a youth pastor, children’s pastor, seminary wife and now a pastor’s wife.  I have found ministry to be extremely rewarding, and extremely difficult.  I joke that it is harder than marriage or motherhood, therefore, my husband should buy me jewelry and cruises to celebrate ministry anniversaries.  Despite it’s difficulty, I consider it a privilege to be able to walk with others in the highs and lows of life and to be able to do so in Jesus’ name.

In addition, I am also a mom to two amazing kids.  They stretch me to be a better person.  Recently, our youngest started kindergarten and I have found myself looking for a new identity.  No longer am I simply a stay at home mom, who designs websites on the side.  God is teaching me to root my identity in Him, not what I do.  So, that being said, out of all the hats I wear in a day, my most important, most humbling and most rewarding is that of Child of God.
